Who we are
Runvas is a small team building a creative running app. You can reach us at hello@runvas.app. This policy covers the Runvas iOS app and the website at runvas.app.
What we collect
We collect as little as we can while still making the app work. Every category below is listed honestly; if something isn't in this table, we don't collect it.

What we don't collect
- Your name, email, phone, or address (unless you email us)
- Your photos, contacts, calendar, or other apps' data
- The content of your routes — these stay on your device unless you export them
- Your health data, step count, or heart rate
- Anything we don't need to make the app work
How we use your data
Location is used only while the app is open. It centers the map on you and generates routes starting near your position. We never upload your location to a server. When you close the app, location access stops.
Ad identifiers (IDFA) are handed to Google AdMob for ad targeting — only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission on first launch. If you decline (or later disable it in iOS Settings), AdMob still shows ads, but generic ones based on rough country-level data.
Crash and performance data goes to Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring. These are aggregate, anonymous, and help us fix problems faster.

We use these services. Each has its own privacy policy linked below.
- Google Firebase — crashes, performance, analytics. Firebase Privacy
- Google AdMob — interstitial ads. Google Privacy
- Apple StoreKit — in-app purchases. Apple Privacy
- Mapbox — map tiles and rendering. Mapbox Privacy
Your rights & controls
- Decline tracking. Say no to the ATT prompt on first launch — the app works identically without it.
- Revoke tracking later. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off for Runvas.
- Revoke location. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Runvas → Never. The draw features will not work, but the rest of the app will.
- Delete your data. Delete the app. Local data is wiped. Firebase anonymous analytics for your device rolls off within 14 months.
- Request a copy. Email hello@runvas.app and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Runvas is rated 4+ but not specifically designed for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has created data in Runvas that shouldn't be there, email us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top updates and the new version goes live at this URL. For material changes, we'll note it inside the app. If you strongly disagree with a change, you can delete the app and your data goes with it.
